In 2024, the Executive Director of the Environment and Tourism Support Initiative (EATS) participated in an international event to mark World Environment Day in Kigali, Rwanda, with emphasises on landscape restoration for sustainable socio-ecological systems and resilience to climate change.

The gathering brought together the African regional mountain forum members (ARMF)  environmental leaders, NGOs, and policymakers to discuss global environmental challenges, share innovative solutions, and strengthen cross-border collaboration for sustainable development. EATS’s presence reinforced its ongoing commitment to environmental advocacy, climate action, and community-driven sustainability initiatives across Africa.
